Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and company information when you create an account. When you use the Questionnaire feature, we store your responses in your workspace. When you connect integrations (GitHub, Google Workspace, Google Drive), we store only the minimum metadata necessary to operate those integrations — we do not store your source code or file contents beyond what is necessary to generate documentation.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve Onboard. Questionnaire responses are sent to the Gemini API (Google) to generate documentation. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Data storage
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Storage), operated on Google Cloud infrastructure. Documents, activity logs, and org snapshots are stored in your workspace's Firestore collection. You can delete your workspace and all associated data at any time from Settings.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services: Google (Firebase, Gemini API, Workspace Admin SDK, Drive API), GitHub (REST API and webhooks), and Stripe (payment processing). Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Google Workspace data
When you connect Google Workspace, we access your organization's directory data (user names, emails, job titles, departments, manager relationships) using read-only scopes. We store snapshots of this data to detect organizational changes. We do not access email content, calendar data, or any data beyond the directory.
Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time through your workspace settings. To request complete account deletion, contact us at privacy@getonboard.app. We will respond within 30 days.
